Job # 4 – Questions
– Post one
“thinking” question that can prompt a discussion amongst your Literature Circle group members. The question you
choose should be designed to get your group members thoughtfully engaged in the
issues and topics in your reading. Often, good questions will attempt to reveal
the nature of the characters and why they make the decisions they do. Was it
unclear why a character did something? Was part of the plot unclear or
confusing? Do you think the author has a hidden agenda or motive? Did the
opening sentences grab your attention? Why or why not? What do you think of the
resolution? Was it effective? These make for great questions. (DO NOT confine
your questions ONLY to the suggestions I have given you! You can come up with your own, also!!)
GROUP MEMBERS: Answer each group member’s question
in 1 or 2 paragraphs. Remember Juniors
& Seniors, I am expecting more from you in quantity &/or quality!
